Old school type restaurant like you used to find on every main street years ago. I work in Hartsville every month and I always visit Ruth's. Great food, great prices, great service. Don't forget to try the fish fry on Fridays! A real winner! Can't wait to return.

Very friendly little place. Worth a small detour if you're passing near Hartsville. "Doc's Hots" are open faced hamburgers/sandwiches which is something unique.

Fries were extremely greasy. Did not receive bread that came with the hamburger steak meal. The "hushpuppies" were hard and bland. The burger was over cooked and hard. There server and manager were very nice but once was enough.

Food was cheeseburgers with world class fried onion rings. Owner came to inquire if everything was good. I told her excellent and I would be back when I was in town. Nice folks.

Was recommended to stop by here and try their food. Boy what a great suggestion. Not only was the food amazing and fresh but the whole staff was very friendly and engaged in conversation the entire time I waited for my food. I learned that this restaurant is coming up on 77 years making the same great quality food. If you are in the area give it a go! Thank you to LeAnn and Cheryl for making it a great experience. Oh and the smoked brisket is well prepared and delicious. I am from Texas and know good brisket and this measured up to my top three!

The food was okay. Probably should of gotten what they won awards for. Hot dogs and hamburgers. They did have fresh cut fries that were excellent. Prices were pretty good too

I absolutely love LeAnne and enjoy seeing her every time I go there. The food is usually really good, this time was nondifferent. Double cheeseburger, Big Doc are always awesome, and I love their home cut fries.
